    NEBOSH Diplomas and Certificates

    The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health – NEBOSH – is an independent awarding body, globally recognised with over 35,000 students each year.

    NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NGC)

    The NEBOSH General Certificate is a level 3 qualification. NGC1 module only 2 weeks split plus 1 exam day. An e-learning option is available.

    Description: The NEBOSH General Certificate (NGC) is the most recognised and sought after health and safety qualification in the world. The course is designed for operational staff, supervisors and managers who require a full understanding of their health and safety responsibilities.

    The course covers the main UK legal requirements for workplace hazards, safety and control methods.

    Qualification: This qualification meets the requirements for Associate Membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH.

     

    NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety

    This is a level 6 qualification, which equates to postgraduate study. 6 split weeks over 11 months plus 3 half-day exams. There are elearning and distance learning options available.

    Description: This incredibly popular course is sought-after by organisations worldwide and is a great way to make yourself desirable to employers as a Health and Safety professional. This course is the first step in the journey to becoming a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner. This course boosts health and safety knowledge to an expert level, allowing organisations to demonstrate their professional health and safety status.

    Qualification: This qualification meets the requirements of the IIRSM for full memberships (MIIRSM). It also meets the requirements for a Graduate Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH) which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner (CMIOSH)

    All candidates undertaking a classroom-based NEBOSH Diploma will receive a free iPad which includes digital course notes to help you learn away from the classroom.

     

    NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management

    4 days (if you have passed the NGC1).

    Description: For employees who carry out fire risk assessments, or have fire safety responsibilities in their working environment, the NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate is ideal. It includes information on the current legislation around fire safety, helping employers fulfill their legal duties and keep their staff and workplace safe.

    Requirements: This qualification requires NGC1 or Diploma Unit A which can be provided by Astutis.

    Certification: Completing this course awards a NEBOSH Certificate.

     

    NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Award

    3 days.

    Description: This course is aimed at Supervisors, Team Leaders, Facilities Managers and HR Professionals and is the ideal first step towards other higher level NEBOSH qualifications. For people who need to learn about the principles of health and safety for their job role, the NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Award is the ideal introductory qualification.

    Certification: By completing this course you will receive a NEBOSH Certificate.

     

    NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety

    2 weeks plus exam (if NGC1 already completed). 3 weeks plus exam if without NGC1.

    IOSH Working Safely

    1 day.

    Description: For every organisation in every industry sector it is crucial to have a member of staff with an IOSH Working Safely certificate. This course gives you an understanding of hazards in the working environment, and why employees must adhere to workplace safety standards.

    Certification and Assessment: At the end of the course there is a brief multi-choice test and hazard-spotting exercise. On completing the course you will be awarded an IOSH Certificate.

     

    IOSH Managing Safely

    4 days with an e-learning option also available.

    Description: This course is designed to give supervisors and line managers a basic understanding and qualification for risk management health and safety to guarantee that their health and safety in the workplace responsibilities are met, and that this is done effectively and efficiently.

    Certification and Assessment: On completing this course you will be awarded an IOSH Certificate. The course is assessed by a multiple choice assessment with a workplace health and safety assessment undertaken at the end of the course.

     

    IOSH Safety for Senior Executives

    1 day.

    Description: This course provides Senior Managers, CEOs and Directors with the knowledge to implement and integrate a health and safety policy into their short and long-term business plans. This accredited course will give Directors an understanding of their legal responsibilities with regards to the Corporate Manslaughter Act 2007 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1874.

    Certification and Assessment: This course is assessed with a multiple choice assessment, and by completing this course you will be awarded an IOSH Certificate.

    Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment – IEMA courses for sustainable working practices.

    IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management
